Hi everyone, welcome to Melted Artworkx! My name is Leslie and I'm a mother, artist, and Chicago, IL native! My love and connection to art started with my mother buying me "paint by numbers" kits as a child, then teaching myself how to draw/sketch between 8th grade and college. My Art inspirations peaked between 2010-2016 whenever I would visit the River East Art Center, or visit my daughter's father at his Wicker Park music studio in the Flat Iron Arts Building where he would show me around to see all of the wall artwork and artist's workspaces there. This was when the "art dreaming" of being an artist and having an art gallery one day really started to take shape in my mind, but drawing/sketching was still only a hobby for me...

Fast forward to 2020...after the COVID pandemic hit, I started drawing again and eventually getting into acrylic painting with my best friends doing weekly "virtual paint and sip" calls over the summer. I later found acrylic fluid pouring and string art, and started gaining art knowledge and techniques from many YouTube artists, social media and art websites, and I was HOOKED! With the encouragement, love and support from my family and friends, I finally decided to move forward with my art and "Melted Artworkx" was born!
